Torraspapel’s Voluntary-Work program is based on undertaking environmental and humanitarian activities suggested by the company, with the staff taking part by volunteering their time and effort in order to make a positive contribution to the community.

Looking for Volunteer Projects

In 2008 Torraspapel introduced a new volunteer-work initiative. The initiative consists of holding an internal contest for volunteer projects in which employees participate. Winning entries will be subsidized by Torraspapel.

 2nd Torraspapel Volunteer Day

Torraspapel embarked on another environmental action backed by a highly motivated group of employees and their families, totaling 39 people of all ages and all sharing the common aim of joining in the restoration project for the habitat around the Sils lagoon in Northeast Spain. A total of 45 trees and 80 riverside bushes were planted.

1st Torraspapel Volunteer Day

Over 30 employees from Torraspapel joined together to form a large working team with the aim of doing their part for the Environment. The main objective was to contribute to restoring the riverside habitat of the river Tordera at and around the district of Sant Celoni (in the province of Barcelona).The project entailed a day’s work in which over 400 trees were planted. In all, a 15-hectare area of the Tordera’s riverside was restored.
