Torraspapel is pursuing diverse projects of a social nature in conjunction with NGOs, foundations and non-profit organizations:
- Torraspapel has pursued in conjunction with UNICEF various projects aimed at educating and teaching basic literacy to children across the world ( “School in a Suitcase”, “Torraspapel, Committed to Girls Education”)
- Every year, Torraspapel sends a message of solidarity to our customers and collaborators by wishing them a Merry Christmas with Intermón Oxfam solidarity cards. Through this initiative Torraspapel contributes to the financing of humanitarian projects carried out by this NGO throughout the world.
- More than 20,000 trees have been planted on the Iberian Peninsula and in Brazil thanks to reforestation projects promoted by Torraspapel in conjunction with the Spanish NGO AcciónNatura.
- The United Nations Environment Program has launched a world campaign for planting trees under the name Let’s Plant for the Planet: Billion Tree Campaign . Torraspapel has participated in the launch of the campaign in Spain.
- Torraspapel has worked in conjunction with various foundations and associations in Spain such as Alonso Quijano, Talita, Abracadabra and AIS (Assistance to children without resources), collaborating in the publication of calendars and books.
- Looking for Volunteer Projects. In 2008, Torraspapel launched a new volunteer initiative: a contest in which it subsidises volunteer projects proposed by the employees.
- Torraspapel's employees in Barcelona were able to contribute to the education of children in Central and South America through the campaign “Donate your books on International Literacy Day!”, organized in collaboration with the Spanish NGO Interlibros.
