The Company’s commitment to social responsibility is fulfilled by adopting environmental management systems and obtaining different environmental certifications, guaranteeing in this way an environment-friendly manufacturing process. Torraspapel uses natural, renewable raw materials, making products that are recyclable and biodegradable.

Torraspapel publishes an Environmental Report on a regular basis so that the Company's progress and the actions implemented for meeting our environmental objectives and commitments can be monitored. To date, three Environmental Reports have been published, in 2005, 2007 and 2009, with a total print-run of 27,000 copies. In addition to going over the main environmental improvement projects carried out, the reports set objectives and state commitments that the Company intends to meet in the near future. At the same time, complete and current information about the environment is available in the Environmental section on this website, which received more than 11,600 visits in 2009.

Over the last few years, Torraspapel has planted in conjunction with the NGO AcciónNatura more than 20,000 trees on the Iberian Peninsula and in Brazil. Reflecting our commitment to environmental and social responsibility, the Company has promoted various reforestation and volunteer-work projects in which our customers and our employees and their families have taken part.
