Society's increasing awareness of environmental problems has led us to convey to our target public (clients, suppliers, employees, local communities, government officials and others) the effort Torraspapel has made with respect to environmental concerns.

Torraspapel has invested over 100 million euros in environmental improvement objectives intended to reduce our activity's impact.

The following stand out among the environmental activities developed in the last few years: attainment of the ISO 14001 environmental certification in eight paper mills (Zaragoza, Sant Joan, Sarria, Leitza, Algeciras, Motril, Almazan and Uranga), the installation of five energy cogeneration plants, investments to minimize water use and fuel consumption, as well as investments in waste management.

The 2004 report has been written with transparency and clarity.

The publication of this report is a demonstration of Torraspapel's commitment to the environment, as expressed in its Environmental Policy, combining business activity with sustainability.
