This spring, Torraspapel, part of the Lecta Group, reflecting its desire to deal with current, practical matters, organised its 1st Technical Training Sessions for Specifiers, which took place in the Spanish cities of Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid.
The sessions enjoyed the participation of numerous professionals from the worlds of design, advertising, publishing and business in general, who were able to obtain answers to their questions and concerns.
These conferences respond to a growing demand for information from a group that, while not the direct purchaser of our paper, has the need to know about many aspects of it, particularly applications and possibilities for later recommendation.
The Technical Sessions aimed to be both useful and enjoyable, and were conducted in the form of a working breakfast by means of a practical, accessible talk by Torraspapel's Head of Technical Training, José Manuel Fernández Zapico, followed by a lively debate among the participants.
These seminars are part of the Training Program for Printers and Designers which Torraspapel has been conducting for five years. The goal is to provide printers and designers with more immediate knowledge of paper, affording them a broad general view of present-day technology used in the pulp and paper manufacturing process, as well as of different types of paper and the characteristics to be taken into consideration for use by specifiers and printers.
