Torraspapel, part of the Lecta Group, is committed to the environment and that is why it has been implementing the Environmental Management System since 2001, thus guaranteeing that its production processes respect the environment and are subject to continuous improvement.

The Amorebieta paper mill, which manufactures carbonless base paper, has had the 9001 quality certification since 1999. Its production capacity is 32,000 tons of paper per year.

With this paper mill's certification, Torraspapel's nine paper mills now have the ISO 14001 environmental management certification fulfilling one of the main environmental goals established for 2005 and published in Torraspapel's Environmental Report. All of Torraspapel's paper and pulp production is now ISO 14001 certified.

Obtaining the ISO 14001 guarantees the continuous improvement of processes, affecting waste management, energy use, pollution control and prevention, and use of the means necessary for Torraspapel's activity to be carried out in a sustainable fashion.
