CD, UFO, OK, USA, RIP… perhaps it is because we are always in a hurry, perhaps it is due to lack of space or memory, perhaps it is the influence of the Internet and text messaging … but the fact is that we are bombarded by initials day in, day out, and now they are a part of our everyday vocabulary.
Among the varied content in this issue we would single out Eboy, who offers three interplanetary meetings with UFOs through his revolutionary "pixel-basic graphics," or Miguel Ángel Tornero, who gives us a preview of his forthcoming "Meteosat" series on Weather Satellite Images (WSI) and his own personal way of understanding weather forecasters by means of digital photomontages.
Alberto García Orte's story is the text contribution for this edition, and along with Sergi Sánchez's illustrations it tells the story of Paolo Tomassi, a character who eventually becomes the trademark PT.
To close the issue, the final initials could be none other than RIP. Fuji Furusawa shares with us a series of photographs full of magic and drama that reveal how her grandmother faced her own death.
Twenty new collaborators from different countries worldwide have contributed to this issue, from fields such as photography, illustration or graphic design in its various forms.
On the www.creator.info website you will find the Flash version of the magazine and three full content pieces selected from this issue: DNA (eleven designers and illustrators), RIP (Fuji Furusawa) and LASER (Vasava).
With a circulation of over 37,000 copies, this eighth issue has been printed on Creator Ivory paper, made by Torraspapel, part of the Lecta Group, and has been distributed free of charge to customers and designers.
