Environmental aspects

All Torraspapel's mills have environmental management systems, and they have all resolutely set about obtaining various environmental certificates as a way of assuring that their production processes are environment-friendly, using natural, renewable raw materials, and making products that are recyclable and biodegradable.

Torraspapel has taken on the commitment of publishing an Environmental Report on a regular basis so that the company's progress in that area and the actions implemented for meeting our environmental objectives and commitments can be monitored. Torraspapel's first Environmental Report was published in May 2005, with a print-run of 15,000 copies. In addition to the printed version, the Environmental Report has also been made available on the Torraspapel website, and has been downloaded over 1,000 times.

Over the last few years, Torraspapel has been working in conjunction with the NGO Acciónatura, to pursue a number of projects that span our environmental responsibility and our social responsibility too. Since they involve various reforestation plans and voluntary-work projects, many of our customers and employees and their families having taken part in these projects
