Over the last five years, Torraspapel has made environment- related investments worth over 20 million euros.

The most notable environment-improvement projects concern the reduction of the environmental impact of transportation at the Zaragoza mill, reducing water consumption and waste water at the Zaragoza, Sant Joan, Sarriŕ and Leitza mills, sustainable forest management and obtaining chain-of-custody certifications for coated paper production, reducing solid-waste discharge from the Sant Joan, Zaragoza and Sarriŕ mills, and the gradual replacement of organic solvents with water at Leitza and Almazán.
